Are the vans difficult to drive?

Not difficult — different. Both are 4-speed manuals with older steering and brakes. Almost everyone is comfortable within the first hour. Every rental starts with an orientation and a short test drive together.

Are they automatic?

No. Both vans are manual, and that is part of the deal. If you have never driven a manual, a Birbi is not the place to learn.

How many people can sleep inside?

Two. Both vans have a proper two-person bed. There is no version of the answer where six people fit.

What is included in the price?

The van itself, a full handover and orientation, bedding, kitchen basics, 200 km per day of driving, and preparation and cleaning. The exact equipment list is on each van page.

Where do I collect the van?

Is there a security deposit?

No. The price you see at checkout is everything you pay before the trip — no deposit, no holds on your card.

How much driving is included?

200 km per rental day, counted over the whole trip. Extra kilometres are €0.35 each. For a slow trip — which is the point — the allowance is generous.

What documents do I need?

A valid driving licence held for at least 3 years, an ID or passport, and you must be 25 or older. We confirm details during the booking process.

Can I take surfboards or bikes?

Yes — both vans have carried plenty of boards in their lives. Mention it in your booking request so we prepare the racks.
