Birbi is a small collection of real vintage Volkswagens. Every van has a name, a history and its own particular way of doing things. We keep the vehicles old and make everything around them unusually simple: clear prices, thoughtful handovers, a proper trip guide and help when you need it.

Honesty
Before you fall in love
A short honesty section. Old vans are wonderful — and they are old vans.
- Both vans are manual. Four real gears.
- They are old vehicles and drive like old vehicles.
- Bumblebee is genuinely slow.
- They sleep two people. Not three. Definitely not six.
- There is no full modern bathroom inside.
- You will complete a short vehicle orientation before you leave.
- Drivers must be 25+ with a licence held for 3+ years.

Not difficult — different. Both are 4-speed manuals with older steering and brakes. Almost everyone is comfortable within the first hour. Every rental starts with an orientation and a short test drive together.
